STATUS:  Uncommon      

DOCUMENTED COUNTIES:  Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise

HABITAT:  Fort Worth Prairie, Mesquite Grand Prairie, Blackland Prairie, and Western Cross Timbers

COMMENTS:  The Strecker's chorus frog used to be one of the most common frogs in the outer edges of the Metroplex.  It is a mystery why this species has declined as much as it has.
